“Once a champion, always a champion!”
Once a quartet achieves gold in the Barbershop Harmony Society International Quartet Contest, that particular foursome never competes again. The quartet name is also retired and may be used again by another competing quartet. It was early in our history the AIC adopted this rule and the slogan was born: “Once A Champion, Always A Champion“.
